Plastidipping My Car Dark Pearl Blue (Picture Heavy)

So in this thread I will be documenting my use of Plastidip on my car. My paint was doing pretty bad and I need to redo it. I decided to put that off I would try to Plastdip my car. I did my girlfriends car to practice not too long ago. You can see pics of that here: http://volvospeed.com/vs_forum/topic/162459-my-1st-attempt-at-plastidip-gunmetal-grey-w-gold-pearl-2006-sentra-se-r-spec-v/

I learned a few things with that and I will be doing my car with 3 gallons of paint. 1 Black, 1 Matte Clear and 1 Glossifier

First layers will be done with black plastidip. Then I will mix both the Matte clear and Glossifier together with the Pearl powders for the final coat.

My pearl powders were purchased from TKBtrading here: http://www.tkbtrading.com/category.p...y_id=12&page=g

It is actually make up powder and you can get almost any color in existence.

I have been doing a fair amount of work to get it to this point, but here it is when I pulled it in, Just after installing the rear window spoiler I got from a group buy on Volvospeed.

Here it is prepped for paint

Here is me mixing up the color. Although I might change it some and make it darker.

And me painting the TDRs that will be going on it

Here is one that didnt come out right because of spotting because there was oil or something on them. But you can see it just peels right off

Will be painting it Wednesday!! Pics to follow...

Be interesting to see the end result of this

Question, do the original Volvo wheel centre caps fit the TDM alloys properly or are they just rested in the centre for the pictures?

I like this plastidipping its a good cheap alternative to spraying your car, ive had my silver supra for 7 years and as much as I love the car I do get sick of the colour I have considered this plastidipping. Great choice of colour (color In USA) looks great bud, your front right wheel arch needs that little dent fixed though. Does it go on evenly over areas where there is lacquer peeling?
