Projector headlights-black or chrome for my Nautic R?

New headlights are required on my R before the dark nights set in as the reflective stuff is badly corroded and they were an advisory on the last mot. So by mid-October I need to have them fitted, and my own preference is for black projectors as I think they make more of a statement than the chrome ones. I also think that black ones look better on lighter coloured cars(like my old laser) but my R is Nautic, so I don't know which to go for. Opinions please..........

Thanks Graham, you're the same as me on this. I think I will be sticking with silver wheels, when she's back on the Comets and they have a refurb.

My thought's are you need to contrast it, if you have black lights on a dark car, and then black/dark wheels as well, it all blends into the backround. Chrome lights will accentuate the lines IMO.

Buy the chrome, if you don't like em then just strip them down and paint them black...

I'm big on contrast, and that's my reason for sticking with silver wheels on her. I wonder if PFV would be good enough to send me a one of each headlight to try? Now there's an idea, have contrasting headlights..............

It does indeed look nice Graham, and your car makes me sway towards chrome ones. I suppose the main thing is that I just have better headlights than I have now.

The other thing is that I will be putting eyebrows on the headlights, so I think they would look better with chrome than black headlights. Tell you what, I think it's a case of have several beers, and make a drunken decision, like I normally do.

This is my R when I had the same grill as you with the black projectors. I decided to go for all black grill eventually. Your car isn't a millions shades off of black. I think black lights look miles better on darker cars and the Saffys
