2016 Swedish Day UK "Best Modified Swede"
SOLD
Got an old discovery now.
Tried loads of different colours to get the best match and ended up using Helfords basic satin black. Tried matt camouflage black, tried matt black, tried Ford graphite non was a close to satin black. Really happy with the colour match and finished job. My only regret was I should have used a pillar pod not a dash pod. The pillar pod has less hight and distance between the top of the gauge and the top of the pod. Other than that I think this is the best boost mod I've found. The part looks factory made lol

youve one a cracking job there. you could be onto a earner if you can duplicate them.

I'm liking that.
I've been looking at carbon werx pods for mine but they are really expensive.
Maybe I should get a pod & make my own. You've got a really good finish there.
I like!

Very nice finish, as said above, looks factory.
Thanks guys. Really enjoyed doing it. Not that hard at all just takes time to build it up right. Once I have a bit more time I'll make two more just to see if I can speak up the process now I got a better idea. Getting the finish is the secret here with these. Need to find a lighter shade of black, if there is such a colour to get it a perfect colour match. The cowling colour is a perfect match with this colour, however the cowlings are darker than the trim. Will get some more pics up with it installed next week. Just putting front end of my car back today. Installed the 06 air condenser in as old one wouldn't fit with the new intercooler. Only issue I had was the cold side (left side) pipe, which is a solid pipe rooted into cabin had to be re rooted in the engine bay so I could get it to connect. Right pain but sorted.
Inside the car
Notice the colour match with the stereo and head light switch panel. Then look at the air vents. They are lighter and I've swapped them for darker ones. Are there any vents out there that are as dark as the stereo system?
The wiper stalk is getting swapped this week for a black one with the chrome trim on like I have on the indicator one
I have ocd so has too look right.
Trip to the scrap yard tomorrow to get the air vents. I'm sure they were as dark as the stereo. I had the stereo off the car so I'm sure the vents were darker
Anyone got any pics of their centre air vent against the black stereo to see if volvo do, do darker vents?
realy impressed by that. im might have a bash myself. unless you want to sell me one. i couldnt ask a favor when you go to the breakers. i need a bit trim that gose aroun wear the seatbelt real is on drivers side. ill try nd get a pic of my airvents an the panel thats missing
