    V70 t5 belly pan

My 2003 v70 t5 does not have a belly pan splash guard under the engine , there are threaded captive nuts in the subframe but no under engine panel , should the car have a belly pan or is there a good reason e.g turbo cooling for it not having one.?
I could make one up in alloy sheet if it should be here.

It's not your wife's car that needs a belly pan, it's her husband !

I would say its more to keep the

water and all the salt from the

roads we have over winter , I had a

fiat work van with its belly pan

off over 1 winter when I did a

service on the van the damage

    underneath was bad rust everywhere

I would suggest you get 1 before

are nasty winter sets in .

Mine's supposed to have a metal one but it'll just make it harder to work on the car so I just can't be arsed with replacing it.

If this winter is anything like last one ,the roads up here will be salted for months, I think I will make one up from chequer plate alloy to keep crap out of engine bay , I just wondered if there was some reason like airflow round turbo why it should not have one, if it is optional i think I'd rather have one. It's ok for you soft southern bxxxxrds to run about all winter with your nether regions exposed . It gets seriously cold up here.

my belly pan has air scoops in it which I think is right under the turbo.

I wonder if you get ground effect from these ? Had a 928 s2 for a while years ago it was
flat underneath and stuck like ££££ to a blanket at speed.
