    Starts then cuts out ?

    Hi all my C70 Coup starts ticks over but will not rev up then cuts out, but not all the time
    Any ideas.
    O i have changed the Immobilize Antenna.

    Hi Manual or Auto? could be the fuel pump relay, if its auto could also be the pnp switch , any CEL light on?

    If Fuel pump Relay do you know the Location. ?

    Main fuse box buddy, held down 4x t25 torx screws i think, left the lid should be a RED/PINK relay with number 107 i belive marked on top.

    Is it ME7 or pre ME7, what happens if you disconnect the maf? had exactly the same problem with my S60, it was a faulty maf.

    it still definately sounds immobiliser related to me - have you got another key to try , and are there any other keys (for others cars on the bunch) ?

    had this issue on my p1 before. turned out to be a MAF issue

    Thing is, OP says the car ticks over, if it's the imobiliser or pump relay, it would start and immediately cut out, I still recon on faulty maf.

    im assuming this is a ME7 model?? and turbo?? if it is ME7 this is a classic sign for the accelerator pedal gone faulty, but as has been said the MAF can cuse this also, neither give a difinitive code altho both do bring on the engine light.

    Your MAF is Mass Airflow Sensor, the big round thing connected to the airbox with an electrical connector, disconnect the electrical connector and see if it will rev then.

    Ahh air flow meter ok i understand thanks and no it is not a Turbo.

    Well its fixed, as merc85 said it was the fuel pump Relay Thanks.
    Pink with 103 on top.
