    AquaGraphics or HydroPrinting the S60

Decided a short while ago to treat the S60 to a makeover under the bonnet, I've recently liked the look of this new Hydrographic dipping effect but not brave enough to do it myself in case I made a total mess of it, so I found a company called AquaGraphix on FaceBook who's work is VERY impressive:

    https://www.facebook.com/aquagraphixuk

    http://aquagraphix.co.uk/?page_id=631

I contacted them with a pic of the engine bay highlighting the bits I'd like dipped:

They give me a price of approx £250+ which also includes the oil filler cap and the Ultra Racing Strut Brace that isn't pictured. The effect I have chosen is their 'new' gold carbon which I think looks subtle but very nice:

So I removed the covers and braces and laid them on some nice Lancashire lawn next to a rather naked looking derv:

My Master wrapping skills were put to the test - bubble wrap is ACE but parcel tape gets on your tits every time

Packaged and waiting for ParcelForce - guarded by Minion:

Turnaround is expected in 10 days, they received the parcel last week so I'm expecting everything back sometime next week.....I'll be posting more pics

Yaris is the Wife's....I'm cruising in one of your favorites - Nissan Almera pmsl

I keep checking on AquaGraphix's FB page to check for updates & hopefully spot some of my stuff, nothing as yet.

Really can't wait to get the bits returned.

Can't fault the almera for comfort mate

And better at accommodating the "larger" individual.

I must say I was very impressed with Colin's attempt at this on his S60, the quality is really quite good.
Will be interesting to see the finished pieces back in your engine bay.

That's good to hear....going off what they produce and photo on Facebook, their results are top notch. Perhaps not the cheapest, but I know I wouldn't be happy with anything I produced using a kit off eBay. Trial and error I suppose, but with my patience - I'd end up slinging my plastic bits into Morecambe Bay

Just received a message via Facebook updating me on their progress - even sent me a piccy of the engine cover in primer:

They have dipped the engine cover but unfortunately noticed a tiny imperfection in the form of an air bubble - so they're rubbing it back down and repainting it - ready to be dipped again. I really get the impression that these guys are perfectionists and any parts that they dip won't leave the workshop until they 110% perfect.

    Getting excited now !!! lol

More updates coming through....loving the great service from AquaGraphix.

My engine cover has been re-dipped and is fresh out of the tank looking like this:

These are literally pictured immediately out of the dipping tank - got to wait now until the morning when they'll be lacquered.

Loving the look already, but I think once it's lacquered it'll look gorgeous.
