    Track Day At Goodwood

Myself, Ashok, and a friend of mine managed to tag along last minute on a TVR Club track day at Goodwood this week.

I took the Accord, which I've been dying to get back on track since Combe. I bought a set of Civic wheels from Mo, which had Pirelli PZero Corsa semi slicks, which I thought i'd give a whirl and see how they compare to the RSR's. In all honesty i'd say they are no better or worse, if anything i felt I had a bit more confidence with the RSR's, but that could be due to the fact the these are 205's, and the RSR's I have are 215's. But still all good! As always the car was absolutely spot on, not one issue of any kind. The brakes were perfect all day long, which, considering the abuse they got surprised me! Those who know my 'driving style' will know I do have a heavy right foot! But I definitely feel my track driving is improving, Tim pointed out that I'm a lot smoother than I once was!

We got a decent amount of time on track, but it was sessioned, and organisation wasn't the slickest! But for £180 (which is super cheap for Goodwood) it was a superb day. I didn't know what to expect joining the TVR bunch. But it was superb, excellent driving etiquette from everyone on the day, and no crashes or breakdowns, that I knew of. Which again, considering we were there with 25 odd TVR's, was a huge surprise! They're going to keep me on their mailing list, and let me know of any other track days they organize. I'd definitely do a day with these guys again, a very decent bunch of people.

As I said in my status update, I have had a lot of good fun on many track days in the S70, and a few in the S60R now. But the fun I'm having in this accord is beyond that. It's not the fastest (especially when you're on a track with Cerbera's, Sagaris', etc.. that are being driven very well!!), and I'm by no means the best driver, but it is an incredible amount of fun, which is what it's all about. And I have complete faith in the car to let me do (within reason) whatever I want, and it just keeps going! I think the S60's track tyres will be hung up for a while!!

I took my GoPro, and Camera, and for once remembered to use it!!!
