Handbrake woes.

Was adjusting the handbrake and it fell apart under the rear console. How do I dismantle it? Can't find a screw to get started.............

I need to get under the back bit where the phone handset is

cant help there but if handbrake needs adjusting is cause the linings have come off the shoes

They are brand new. Only put them on the other week. I suspect that as the cable was slackened, it came off a pulley or something and when I wiggled it, it has come off completely.
