Kept this a bit hush hush, but she let me down big style last wednesday morning, conking out at 05.30 on the way to work leaving me no choice but to walk to work and come back in the evening to try to start it or recover it home, needless to say it wasn't play ball and green flag return her home. I'm not pee'd off as it has only failed to get me were I want to go twice in the 6 years I've had her and both times it has just cut out and will turn over but will not fire, checked for spark ok, checked for fuel no pressure at fuel rail, this could be down to the wiring to the main relay ( as was the problem before ) as the wiring here is pretty crusty so I was thinking of a bit of a re-work here and was wondering if anyone has any links to sites that can supply replacement electrical connectors to OEM specs?

not even hearing the pump run up and oddly the idle valve is humming when I don't recall it doing that before, yet still won't start if I unplug it. Will get to the bottom of it tomorrow as I will need it next week

Jumper out the fuel pump relay (the red/pink relay), if it starts get a new fuel pump relay, don't drive it about with the relay base jumpered out as the only way to switch the fuel pump off is to turn off the ignition - If it still won't run with the fuel pump relay jumpered you need to check for +12V on the pins of the relay base then check +12V is actually getting to the fuel pump tank connection - Mike

Oh Yes, just traced the wiring back checking or swapping components along the way, but pump failure at 260,000 miles,I should write a stern letter of complaint to Volvo and demand a new V60 r design as compo..... lol

Still have to make good the wiring harness so still on the look out for OEM wiring connectors and boots to repair the old harness, if anyone knows where to get them??

Isn't the problem more related to the copy pumps that are sold under the misconception that they are Walbro's not the genuine Waldro's themselves?
