Well took old goldie out for a good stroll and took some pics with my friends Mk3 Golf, also found a few faults too, typical lol

    Here are the pics:

    Anyway faults found so far

The lower arm is well and truly fubar!!
I think front droplinks are on their way too
Swipes to the left on bumps so either back shocks or trailing arm bushes.. guessing shocks due to having a tow bar
Whistling/rattling noise coming from passenger side at speed, like when the door is open or window

Thats about it so plans are:

Meyle droplinks, ball joints and lower engine mount
    Polybush the lower arms
Clean out the egr and pipework
check for ££££ed vac lines etc and replace if needed
    Bloody good detail lol
    Refurb alloys

Thats to start Quite liking this goldie lol

Well yesterday I started to get the lower control arms off ready to change the balljoints and polybush... but came along some tacky welding, which i showed to Mr Ears over Skype and it got me really really concerned, it was was around where the the hub connects the strut, and also the bottom of the strut looked slightly damaged, so this going with the burn mark i found have come to the conclusion the car has been rebounded off a kerb at some point

So after a good think i have now ordered the following bits:

    Meyle HD gas front shocks
Meyle HD Tie rod and track rod ends
    35mm Lowering springs
And also polybushes for the engine bar

So having finally got a Volvo its now off road up on axle stands for a few days while i await more parts... back into the BMW i go again lol

Will update when the new bits come... again lol

Lets hope this solves all the suspension issues

Well after another few hundred £s I have done a fair bit of work to the car, so far:

    Repaced Front shocks
    lowering springs on front
    front drop links
    polybushed lower arms
    lower gearbox mount
    new ball joints

    Bought ready to go on:
    Rear lowering springs
Tie rod and track rod ends as they are fubar
    Engine bar polybushes
    And my best bit, these

Here are a couple of pics of the other bits:

Still got to fully settle in yet too lol

Gotta wait for another nice day now to get the rest of the bits on

Well finally.. i have a fully functional S60

I have done so far the following:

New polybushed lower suspension arms with new bump stops
    New Meyle HD balljoints
    Meyle HD Droplinks all around
Meyle HD Gas front shocks and rear shocks
    Lowered 35mm all round
Meyle HD track rod and tie rods
    Projector headlights with 8k HIDs
Replaced all tyres all round from the stupid 245 45 17 that was on to new 225 45 17 that do better
    K&N cone filter

Today gave it a good clean minus the polish etc which weather permitting will be tomorrow

Here are the results of how it looks so far.. quite impressed i must say lol

The handling has improved 10 fold and really makes me smile, just want to look at rear polybushes to make it exactly how i want

All round... turning into quite a machine even tho some say its a bloody MF lol

Well being that it was a very very nice day today... thought it would be rude not to do some stuff on the old MF

Cleaned up and painted he towbar to make it look a bit better:

Then after that was detailing time... ££££ed now but the end results are well well worth it

Been a while since i posted on this, only progress i can give on this is I have stopped it sounding like Darth Vader with a cold bu taking off the cone filter and refitting a standard air box and to be honest it sounds much better and even think it pulls a little better or smoother

Also ordered a new intercooler to arrive early next week so will be making it just that bit better, while I have the bumper off and intercooler going to check all the intercooler pipes and also look at the A/C so I can get cold lol

Then after that its getting the wheels done in gloss black and sort the little niggly problems with it

    Stay tuned

Intercooler all done, 1hr 10mins to change over, not that bad a job to do

Response is much better and feels smoother, dead spot at 2700 rpm has gone, another job well done

Sorry no pics just did not have the time

So this is where I am upto at present, looking around for a bumper without the wiper holes, new passenger door and a few other bits, going through a rough patch with things at the mo so the next update may be a while

Thanks for reading folks and stay tuned

Yea it feels really tight apart from the rear end now, day after i put it up for sale for sale one of the rear trailing arm bushes went so withdrew it from selling and going to look at polybushing the rear end so putting even more £££ aint gonna be worth selling and loosing even more money than what I would selling it now
