I'v only had a look on autotrader at the minute, so i'll keep my eye out for one. The normal autos do seem to have less issues.
I'm a bit weary of the s80s as they seem to have a lot of electronic issues.

If it's got chrome rings round the rev counter and speedo it's been changed.

For 19 quid, you can buy the chrome rings and it takes less than an hour to fit them.

Liam, the best advice I can offer is to go for a 2004 on V70/s60 or 2003 S80 the worst issues have been sorted and the s80 in particular can be had for peanuts. Ex plods are also worth a look but I would say that.

looking for something cheap at the moment, so don't think i can stretch to a 2004 model unfortunatly.

I'm really not bothered about having much power, just need to get a decent car pretty soon. I can look at getting a nice car next year after my insurance comes back up and i know how much i'll be paying.

If it's 2003 or later you don't have to worry about the etm mate but if there's a white label it'll fail and if there's a yellow label, it'll take longer to fail.

But as you remember from before, Volvo sourced the original ETM's, Ford swooped in and fixed Volvo's ££££ up once it realised they were ££££e.
