Could just be damp in the electrics, maybe giving the CEM a slap would help (it's been known to sort bad connections) emission control could be the EGR valve sticking/blocked which is messy but relatively easy. Considering the oil on the panel and the wooshing noise - worst case scenario, the intercooler has ballooned and split (known problem on early D5s) also, it could just be a split inlet pipe (also common).

Maybe someone near you can have a look?

if the battery was flat, it could have caused all the other electrical faults that are showing up now. - they need to be cleared and only those (if any) that come back are relevent.
electrical service is normal after flat battery as the car monitors the voltage.

bulbs might have just gone, it is a volvo ..........
emissions sevice can be caused by a split intercooler or hose, as the engine is sucking it unmetered air.

if u know it was a good car, dont panic just be methodical.

I found that when I get a bulb failure warning, just slapping the relevant cluster a few times will bring it back - normally a furry connection rather than a blown bulb. Well it is in mine any way.

Intercooler then. Have a look top and bottom - does it look like it's ballooned? the top and bottom should be flat - if it's curved, it's knackered. Look for black staining which would indicate a split.
