    Cheers mate. I will get some footage, as I suspect I have what you had. So you still get a very slight click when shunting, even with the new pads?

    Yeah but only slight. I would imagine some grease would shut it up but It's not bothering me so I'll do it next time I'm faffing about in there

    This is my experience with my V70 T5 .......my front pads click most of the time when first applying the brakes, the pad is merely moving in it`s own space in the caliper.

    Better to be like this than tight in it`s space as the pads will then not release properly from the disc and will wear unevenly.

    It purely just proves that your caliper pins are not rusted up and jammed...they are giving the pads freedom to move when the brakes are released thus giving no uneven wear to the pads.

    Mine make the noise both sides equally.

    I would rather hear it and know what is happening that not hear it and worry!

    That's a good perspective to see it from.

    It's knowing what's a good noise from a bad one that takes some investigation. The noise I had with the old pads was a bad one and I'm glad I sussed it but I feel better about the slight click I get now.
