I've just got a bleed valve, which is universally said to be crap, and have the second fastest C70 on the forum, so either the bleed valve works better than people say, or I'm an amazing driver, I'll let you all decide.

I had the fastest Cougar 0-60 time on the Cougar forum, so maybe I'm the luckiest driver.
Its a 940 2.0 by the way, just thought i should tell you :p

Is this the type of motor?......this was mine about 10yrs ago had a new engine fitted at Volvo. Red block single OHC 1998cc the piston skirts are short on this engine and it had piston slap even when hot like ££££££y hence the new engine which was £1500 + £500 fitting and bits and pieces, done at Taunton Volvo.
I used a Bleed Valve opened 1 1/4 turns and it went like a rocket, they are 160bhp as standard
You will have a cut out at 14psi. standard i ran 13psi

I've read that the boost you can safely run depends on different things like the rods and ecu type. I'm not sure on either in my car so I'm going to set it at 10psi to be safe, but from what ive heard It seems the red block is a pretty strong engine
