    Fitting MBC and gauge

Ive finally got round to fitting my MBC and boost gauge today, havnt been out to adjust it and set it yet, but i will soon.

Quick question, for my boost gauge i just tapped into the vac line under the steering column (for standard gauge), will this affect the reading or is that fine?

Thats the only issue i can really think off, i'll be back in a bit to let you all know how it goes

The correct mathematical formula is MBC + T5frankie = wrecked T5 engine

ok, so theres a problem. of course there is, there always f###### is! lol

No matter how i adjust the boost controller the boost flies straight past 10psi and beyond! Ive screwed it almost all the way out and back in over half way and no difference. My MBC is the screw with lock nut and spring inside it type jobby. It does have a small hole in the top, should it?

Wind it in mate, not out. Winding it out will give you more boost.
Strat from all the way in and adjust it out from there.

The instructions for it say to wind it anti-clockwise (out) and start from there, i assumed winding it in makes the cylinder smaller thus increasing the pressure. Correct me if im wrong, i've never had experience with MBC's before.

Ive run an unos mbc for over 3yrs with no problems, with an un forged engine and 18t 20 psi was fine as long as you dont batter it till after 3.5k, with a forged block im hitting 26psi and can floor it anytime but it's made me a slower driver lol

an MBC goes alot more of an aggressive boost than any mapped T-5 i've driven & used one for many years with no issues, only reason i ditched it because of going for the Apexi boost controller
