    need stg 2 back in my life

    ive decieded i want to go stg 2 again in the beast. ive had the hlm autotech map for year now. i only got it because the ppc unit failed and screwed up the map file which hamish sorted with the new map. but its not the same as stage 2. dosnt feel as sharp or as responsive as the stg2. its currently 328 bhp 429nm but rica stg 2 was 349bhp and 350 lbft and that was befor decat and fmic. best of all witb the isoftloader i can go from hlm map. stg 1 rica stg 2 rica. and its only costing me 100 :-). watch out 850 lads i. preparing for the strip
    s60 2.4 t5 eibach springs,up rated rear anti roll bar, poly bushed wishbones, poly lower engine mount, fmic, bmc air filter, 3" decat, 2.5" stainless exhaust,hlm remap 328bhp,

    Don't forget that the tracking is very important - particular attention must be paid to the toe angle.

    im going to get it wheel wheel alighed. im thinking about custom rear arms to make it fully adjustable. not sure what i could do on front

    Yeah but the 4wd slows you down after 2nd gear. I'd bet a 350bhp fwd s60 would beat a similar powered s60r over quarter mile

    i took this comment from another forum. a comment from a guy whos had both


    Not much you could easily do.I've had both, and the 2.4T5 is brutal at the low endIt has all the same induction gear as the 2.5R but it is even more brutal than that.My 2.4 would pick up like a diesel, but then keep going where a diesel would tail off.It picks up so low that I doubt it is even boosting much down there, so it may not even be turbo related.I'm not sure if the autos were so torquey down there, but mine was a manual.I could put it in 6th gear and sit there all day on a long run driving it as if it was an auto. It would pull away even from 40mph in 6th.Now I have an MTE stage 2 tuned R and its nowhere near as good at the bottom end as the 2.4T5.The 2.4T5 was everything the other T5s failed to be.

    I am seriously contemplating ditching the 2319cc block in favour of the 2.4

    its a shame you cant put your turbo and set up into a s60 like mine. then youd have a newer ecu to tinker with the 2.4 lump and vvc on both cams so you get the low down power and the power delivery that your after.

    I do find the R does seem to be lacking at bottom end, and assumed it was just down to the bigger turbo taking longer to spool up. Above about 3000 revs it flies though.

    You can put the GTX on your car - I haven't because I am not so keen on the S60 as a shape - purely personal preference.

    it would be boring if we all liked the same. it has crossed my mind to get a turbo like yours but im prob looking at 1300-1600 by time get actuator and other bits and bobs to make it a complete. then 600 mapping. but it would be on seriously fast motor
