If it sounds like 'water through pipes' behind the dash then it's the refrigerant getting low to the point where the ac will cut out. A simple re-gas will do the trick.

The ac system will lose on average approx 15% of it's refrigerant each year - so you should really consider having them re-gassed every 3 years or so.

£35 is a good price - especially in this heat. I'm charging £60 and I'm busy as hell

lol - I don't bite much To be fair with Kwik Fit, if they re-gas the ac on a car and after 1 or 2 weeks it loses the refrigerant due to a leak they had missed - they will refund you the money. They know it's illegal to knowingly recharge an ac system with a leak, they refund with no questions asked.

Get this for a Ford Crocus I did today:

A bit too cold, I suspected the pressure switch to be at fault but the compressor did cycle in & out as expected - but this was too cold. Customer was ecstatic, although I did explain that it shouldn't get this cold and he should consider changing the switch.

Same here, C70 is gassed and compressor working, but no cold air. V70 doesn't work at all, and the 854 has had hers removed.

I really don't think there is any need for this. For a start Graeme is nowhere near his car and was merely asking advice. Your response is not helpful or constructive.

You two need to be locked in a room for the night with some beers, quality porn, couple of quality local ladies of the night and some good ganja!!!

When you return in the morning, hopefully you'll be best bosom buddies and this constant (boring) bitching will cease.

It's woefully tiring to read and to be quite frank, i think we've all had enough of it.

    SORT IT OUT FFS!!!!
