    Help needed

    I have today just developed a boost leak, it wont boost over 14 psi (1 bar) you can hear it hissing under the engine bay and gets louder as the revs and boost rises, but can i see where its coming from? can i §§§§, any ideas? am really looking forward to pod but can't use it as it is

    Wind the actuator so the wastegate's permanently open, no boost, no boost leak. As you've got all new hoses, check the clips, but I'm sure you have, could well be the intercooler.

    Get a smoke test done ASAP .somewhere like jams port should have that or go to hlm and they have got that too.it will show you any boost leaks you have .also ask turbo technics they might have one

    not really got time to do any of that before saturday especially since i have to do a full days work tomorrow, best not be the intercooler its not a standard one

    The is another way .what you can do is get it on a ramp or some strong stands and chock the car .and get the car into third gear and put the car under pressure low down so 2.5k and then get a skirty bottle with water and spray the joints every where to look for the leak mate .

    the car isnt under load when you do that so produces no boost at all (ive just tried on my axle stands)

    Yes it is aslong as you use low gear and you only need to produce anothe boost to find a leak not 28psi lol

    Is it coming from the front or back also check for a split on the turbo to intercooler coupling on top of the turbo too.mune split there too on the v70.

    did mate still leaking, the extra boost has forced the leak now so same with or without bcs

    have you fitted jubilee clips or mikalor. might be a dodgy clamp
    s60 2.4 t5 eibach springs,up rated rear anti roll bar, poly bushed wishbones, poly lower engine mount, fmic, bmc air filter, 3" decat, 2.5" stainless exhaust,hlm remap 328bhp,

    Spray Brake cleaner around suspect joints and hoses, the rev's will pick up when it gets sucked in, Check the Hose from iac valve to the vac tree, one on the end of the intake manifold.

    block up both ends of the boost system and drill a hole in a solid pipe big enough for a screw in tyre valve and inflate to required psi, thats what i was gonna do with the black ally pipe i was gonna have off ya....

    its a boost leak not a vac leak as you can really hear it hiss

    only pipe is the rip pipe over the top on mine now
