    Auto to 6 speed conversion

Went down to Dalhousie`s too do a auto to 6 speed conversion on his 854 T5R.

The weather was nice and dry so the nearsides suspension was removed then the subframe was lowered down enough to pull the auto box out. God was it heavy !!!!
the torque convertor was removed then the fly wheel and clutch was fitted.
The 6 speed went in a lot easier than the auto came out, the linkage, gear stick and pedal box was fitted before we called it a day, will be fininshed off next weekend

And yes Steve did get his hands very dirty

It's a simple enough job, I did mine all on my own... Lol. Bleeding the clutch turned out to be our biggest headache (keep the fluid full at all times) good luck with the conversion.

    Best of british to covert a V70R ph3 as volvo didn`t make a manual V70R ph3

The only way you can convert to manual is to get a manual ECU flashed to run your car which will cost around £500 !!!!

would that basically be a re-map then, if so that would make it a very economic conversion ( still got to be cheaper than a new autobox ) and who would then good folks out there recommend to do the flashing / remap thingy

I really like the appeal of another gear & with an lpg kit I'd be laughing. Permanent awd is gonna rape me. Lol

Not quite a remap mate, having spoken to Rob and he who cannot be named, the ECU on an auto talks to the ECU on the gearbox, so basically you need a manual ECU mapped to your car. I'm sure Rob can give you more info.

My plan is to fix the awd now so I'll look out for an awd box but imagine I won't get one for £50. Lol
