Sounds way to complicated, can any turbo be used as an upgrade instead?

a good write up on swopping the internals of the turbo. However i'd spend a bit more time & remove the turbo complete instead of splitting & leaving the exhaust housing on, doing it his way you risk bending the turbine blades as he did (not sure if he's noticed as he doesn't mention it

Quite an interesting write up and would be cool to do but I'm still in favour of going down the lazy route and getting a big ol Garrett or similar.

I have found out the hard way many, many times lol. I am just curious wether building a hybrid turbo is any easier than getting an aftermarket unit.

get an old 19t, get it refurb'd with a 11blade turbine wheel (£70) & a billet intake wheel (£60). Its all direct fit & allegedly good for 400bhp
