That's stunning mate. You should have brought it to a BKV.

There's a 900 series near my work, up for 550 quid with tax and ticket. looks tidy and is owned by an enthusiast so should be in good shape and a great project but I just can't justify the extra money

I'd love a classic like this.
19t, greens, 3" inlet, 3" downpipe with race cat, V70R catback, autotech map...

    310.2bhp / 333ft/lb

2016 Swedish Day UK "Best Modified Swede"
    SOLD

    Got an old discovery now.

Cheers Martin....I've not been able to move it up until last weekend though! Stupidly, in Feb/March time during the cold months, I let the car run up to temp for 30min.....only to realise when I came back to the car it had run out of fuel, which is such a no no with these old things. Cut a long story short, I blew both fuel pumps and also the pump relay and noise supression relay too. It's taken a few months of swearing to get around the whole fuel system, I replaced the battery and fuel filter at the same time, as well as refurbing the sender unit!

Pain in the **** really because I'd like to have been doing other things to it......like taking the stilts off it and getting the Polaris on

I'm in two minds whether to modify it or not though as it is so clean and original?!?!?!?!

Far quicker than you'd expect though, just a shame it's got such a wallowy chassis!!

Question is.....to slam or not to slam?? If I don't slam, I don't see the point in putting these on!

I shall put it to the vote, either keep it original, or slam, slice & dice?

Lower it and put those rims on .and turn the boost up abit with an mbc.you can get chips for the l.h.2.2 and the early motronic system depending what system you have that is .ive always had a soft spot for the 700 series turbos and the 242 turbos are my fav .but I do still like my 940 turbo though and would never get rid of it .one thing you need to check before playing is to see if you have 9mm skiny rods in your engine or not .
