Yes, which is what I was saying if you re read my posts. Frankie stated the power he had for 7k, I merely said if that's what he ended up with I be more than annoyed. As he didn't end up with that, and there's more to come then great.

Mapping can be peanuts compared with getting an engine right though. Hard works done imo.

I can't see that decatting would benefit you at all (assume you've got a ferrita?).
I appreciate your opinion on the ferrita and that. I am impatient more than frustrated to show well with the parts I've compiled. IMHO 400 is not easy to get without having a welsh mountain style map.

400 bhp is IMHO bandied around like it was easily achievable. Just because the box says it can make 500bhp out of the GTX doesn't necessarily make it so.

I find many conflicting opinions on where to get my 400 & that may not be where I end up.

You are on your own with that one, I had the HKS EVC6 set up to deliver 1.7bar as early as the turbo could manage it, as it was the easiest to setup, the ecu didnt have any control over boost.

Where did you pick up your RPM & Speed signal from for that - or didn't you need one?

I'm using that controller. Flyingmoose helped me out a LOT setting it up. IIRC their website has a download of the instructions

sorry for the late reply ,I don't have one yet but think im going for a 2.3 the last one with throttle cable would be the easy option for tuning ,as the motor will have a complete rebuild with darton liners ,wiseco piston as these don't have expansion problems like some of the cheaper ones,a set of quality forged rods and a crank grind with clevit shells and balance should give a good strong bottom end

I'd agree, but make sure you get it shimmed if you're going to be running big boost.

no need to shim as the block is bored out and thick liner are fitted instead of the ali liner and thin sleeve making a full top deck with no gap for shims
