    Graham popped over.

Graham (V70 Graham) came over today for a quick waxing session ready for the VOC National BKV at Hatton Country World on Sunday. The weather did everything it could to hamper the efforts but with a short break in between which involved a trip to McDs for a spot of lunch which Graham kindly paid for, the rain stopped for long enough for us to finish it off. The paint feels like a new pane of glass now

I used my Meguiars DA with a combination of Meguiars NXT gen Tech Wax and Megiuars Speed Glaze.

Grahams paint really does have a deep shine to it.

So much so that you can see my car in the reflection of his paint.

You can even see the fine beading in that pic.

That car always looks stunning after a session. Good effort lads, at least the rain helped to seal the wax

Looking really well that graham. I love your colour! It looks modified & refined with the silver comets.
Awesome shine to be fair. I'd be proud of that boys.

Not to pour rain on your parade but I still think the paint lacks clarity. I'd need to see it again to be sure, but I can tell mostly by the way the rain sits on the topcoat. I'd be happy to help with time & tools to achieve a flawless finish.

Unfortunately we only had a couple of hours and that was interrupted by rain so I could only go over with a wax coat. Given a full day and the right weather we could have done a full 3 stage effort.

took me 4 days to get this - it was pin sharp. With more hands I am sure I can get that in half the time - plus I have a rotary rather than a DA now.

Does that man never go to work? Good results Steve, did you give Graham's head a go with the DA as well?

Looks nice Graham, good gloss on the paint there. I went and purchased some Meguires Ultimate Quick Detailer yesterday and it's fantastic stuff but tried getting the greasey finger marks off from the garage today and it started to rain here as well. Annoying when when it rains with the wax on.

By the way, the Ultimate Wax and Ultimate Quick Detailer takes around 12 hours to fully cure, so I don't know if the rain will help set the wax if it rains so quickly after you've waxed it. Either way, it looks lovely!

I've only just got into machine polishing. I'd be a little worried about using a rotary until I've had a lot more practice with the DA. Given time and practice I'm sure ill get better at it.

I'd be glad for you to take a look Dave, only thing is the bonnets not in the best condition, maybe have a look next time our paths cross and we can sort something out.

For sure - we could plan something. These days I find myself very short on time - so if we could co-ordinate with Steve, then that would be much better.

Why don't you just use the Meguires Ultimate Wax like me, it's stunning stuff!

The wax is only a sealant, with more time you would ideally polish the paint up first and then wax it. I've been using the ultimate wax for the past 6 months, its good value for money, but I've just started to try out a sample of the PoorBoys natty paste which is cheaper.

I feel that perhaps I was unduly harsh towards Steve. I don't want to discourage anyone.
