Lol no, some of them are kinda ridiculous..: neck brace for long trips/flexible glasses holder/portable reading light/laptop holder...lol

Only the titans looked nice and a few other specs. Thanks for the link!

New term I learned is Form Blown. Like in front and rear spoilers are "form blown" into a protruding shape or sum thin like that. Cool

Time to start thinking about the positive crankcase ventilation PCV system, I understand that if the PCV is blocked then some of the engine oil seals can be eventually damaged.

Diagram for my car, from T5D5 forum...

    Attachment 22183

and a good 'how to' below:

    http://www.volvoforums.org.uk/showthread.php?t=46946

That looks like a whole lot of work so I want to be sure the system actaully needs replacing. Volvo part number 9997226 can be used to check if a vacuum is being pulled through the dipstick tube. I guess a similar tool could be made although the pressure gauge is pretty small range so would be hard to find.

    http://v70r.com/forums/topic/35823-v...ther-box-tool/

If a vacuum of around -0.5 kPag is measured then no need to replace PCV bits and bobs but if a smaller vacuum is measured (or even positive pressure) then sounds like it is a good idea to at least remove the parts for cleaning or replacement. That is a tiny negative pressure btw. I'll ask my local dealer if they have that tool see if they will let me have a try.....

If its not been done, then its best to replace it as, yes, it will eventually damage oil seals. More specifically, it can damage the rear main seal which, from what i'v read/been told, is a gearbox out job.

I can't see it in the history so as you say maybe a good idea to change...

Yep, rear crank seal is a joyous job on a 5-pot with an auto box, trust me!

    Sarcasm much?!

Oh, another update: I fitted the TME ECU.....don't know what to say - rapid! Very smooth power delivery. Expect my licence to disappear any day now.....

I haven't actually opened it right up yet cos the new exhaust is not fitted. Photos to follow..........

Saw this the other day, well yesterday actually when I went oop north and met James.

His S70 is crap, it has to be said and couldn't get away from me in the 460 turbo in the pic there!

    Lol

Seriously though, it's a rapid car that (the S70) and James has a big collection of.bits.to.go on it too!

Always use a sat nav for the speed, the gps is far more accurate than a standard speedo. My s70r was 3mph out at 70 and the faster it went the further out it was.
