If you have the pcv done at the same time, how much above the £200-250 would you say?

They`ll probably charge you 1.5-2 hours labour (depending on the hourly rate)+around £90 for all the bits cos its a separate repairs.

I've been paying just under £500 for a cam-belt service, pcv and a few bits, and that was an indy.

Not bad mate.Tbh I can`t c the diff if indi does it or me other than I`d do it better with no rush cleaning everything properly where indi most likely won`t cos time is money in their world. It still will work fine, its just me being fussy doing something like that.

There's some things I'd rather leave to someone with insurance - timing belt and clutch. The car's worth too much to me to risk me knackering a perfectly good engine.

I cannot be trusted with ANY tools, as Martin said when he looked at my last handiwork "You were drilling a hole, not machine gunning the Taliban"

LMAO! When we got together to do his brakes, he went round and got the tea/coffee orders (he was made teaboy for the day), he disappeared for a while and came back complaining that he'd lost the bloody list
