New 940 owner looking for advice and guidance :)

Firstly hello to everyone, i'm Rob from Coventry. Was told about VPCUK by smithy via turbobricks.

Had my 940 2.0 Turbo estate for around a month now and looking for some advice on modifying and improving it.

Since buying it all I've really done is de-badge and paint the grille black and fit an aftermarket air filter. I've also bought a manual boost controller and gauge but haven't fit them yet.

Looking at getting a set of lowering springs to drop it about 40mm, but don't plan on changing the shocks as i don't have the kind of money to replace 4 shocks at around £100 a corner. Am i right in thinking standard shocks are OK up to around 40mm drop?

40mm will be fine on standard shocks but the bilstein shocks are worth saving for, shop around and watch turbobricks theres usually someone selling second hand unit. Do a bit of research regarding TLAO chips on tbricks as they're essiantially a remap for the 940. A word of warning before hand though, check your engine is up to the job e.g. fresh plugs, distributor arm, gaskets & vaccuum hoses. Secondly prepare to sail past modern 'hot' hatches and repmobiles

What's the mileage on it and what do these fetch money wise these days?
