    2005 S80 Sat Nav problem ?

    Hi,

I've recently purchased a 2005 S80 SE D5 Lux which came without a Sat Nav disc.

I bought an update disc from Satnav-updates website, which cannot be read by my machine.

Could it just be a bad disc, or could there be other known issues ?

I'm a 1st time Volvo owner, so looking for advice.

    Thanks in advance !

    Regards

    Phil

Are you sure you got the correct disk ?.
What does the display say when you load the disk.
Have you used a cd cleaner disc yet.
There are cd disks and DVD disks and the newer ones HDD units.
Do you have a handbook for the sat nag.

I think you meant lend him a copy and not do a copy of a copyrighted disk.

I ordered the disc that was recommended for the model and year.
The display says disc cannot be read, please reinsert disc
    It's a DVD player
I've got the handbook, but doesn't state any model info anywhere.
The label on the actual machine in the boot states:

    Model No: 3AF349 /CU-P2001E-4

I haven't got a cd cleaner disc. I'll have to get one.

    Cheers

    Phil

I'd love to "borrow" a copy to try and see what the problem is. You're not that far away from me. I could always pop round sometime and try it in my machine.

    I appreciate the offer.

    Cheers
