well here weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee go again, car seems to be only running on 3 4 and 5 cylinders and not on 1 and 2 cylinder number 2 plug very black n sooty when i took it out put 2 new plugs in no difference also put on 2 new leads and new distributor cap, seems to be the same on both lpg and petrol. just done compression check and virtually nothing on 1 and 2 cylinders, oh the joy

Sounds like it could be a burnt out valve,what petrol Octane do you use as a rule ,the lower stuff can burn the valves out.
Hope it's not Destroyed the head ,pistons.

its gone on 2 cylinders whatever it is i mostly run between v power and lpg

well it's bin sat on me drive a month or so, really cant be arsed, and was offered a different motor today at a pretty silly price to turn down so think i'm likely gonna take the offer and break/scrap the T5. So if anybodies interested i think i'd like to clear it in one go but might break. Aint touched it since it started messing about but guess it's likely head gasket who knows. good lpg kit on it gotta be worth summat strut brace polly bush top mount k and n panel filter blah blah blah. it's bin fun lol

well after much debate and dithering i was able to get a chum of mine (vastly more competant and experienced than me) to get into the sad looking 850 on my drive, first look he says it aint the head gasket and at least one valve is bent on number 1. watch this space............................................. ...........................................lol

lol yeah.............so a little update seems the pivot point for tensioner seized belt slipped through incorect tension 4 inlet valves done hey ho...............

ok all looking good by all accounts. new mot done but apparently the bottom oil cooler pipe is leeking apparently the pipe and not where it fits to oil cooler etc any tips welcome, are these pipes expensive? hard to get hold of? cheers gareth

I don't know whether or not a genuine Volvo one is expensive, if it is a company like Pirtek could probably make you one up.

I think they are around £80 and they are quite common for leaking tbh
