I took my headlights out to fit the HIDs, was too cold to be messing around outside for more than a few minutes :/

Was at a meet a few weeks back and a guy with a C30 shown us how to remove his headlight......pull out a long 'tent peg' type pin from the headlamp unit & Voila - the whole headlamp assembly simply pulls forward to be removed. Took all of 3 seconds.

    Fords idea apparently !!

the early ones are easy in comparison mate, on the facelift, i cant even touch the bulb with the tip my finger, it is so recessed.

Daz has recently bought a set of the new style Projector headlamps for his S60 from PartsforVolvos & he's very happy with them. He tells me the quality of the plastics is spot on and the lenses are glass and e-marked.

The only 2 things to mention are the headlamp wipers cover some of the LEDs when parked.....also the LED's aren't as bright as expected when compared to the Audi/Citroen DLRs that you see.

He's currently removed the headlamp wipers so needs to buy some bumper inserts or have them filled & painted.

Not a fan of the aftermarket ones - I can't stand the bloody fairylights.
I don't know why manufacturers think everybody wants their car to look like an Audi.
I can get the 2005 lights at a very good price, it's just a matter of waiting.

TBH....I'm not a great fan of LED DRL's, but I do like the look of the Citroen DS3s (can believe I typed that) with them running vertical down the outer edge of the front bumper....

The wife has got that on her freshly purchased 2008 C70. One of the bulbs blew after about 10 seconds of her owning it and I had the sinking feeling of dread..............but, what a Bl00dy good idea. Could not believe my luck!! Makes Volvo's own design seem ridiculous.

BTW, was it JamesT5 who posted a thread a while back about taking his car to a stealer for a headlight bulb, and they did it for free!!??

edit - nope, it was neil298
