    Rain, Rain, Rain...

I thought I'd go out this morning and re-detail the outside of the car, giving it another coat of the Meguire Ultimate Wax whilst I was at it (like you do!). So of course, once you've washed and dried it, the wax is the first thing on and the last thing off to give it 'curing time', but what happened right before I went to take the wax off? It rained, and rained, and rained!

I waited nearly half an hour before it stopped, at which point I had to dry the car off using my microfibre towel which soaked it, and then go over the entire car with a fresh microfibre cloth and my Meguires Gold Class Quick Detailer (Oh I love that stuff!), just to make sure there were no smears and to lubricate the cloth to get the rest of the wax off.

Anyone else fed up with it raining everytime they go out to detail the car? I think the weather has cursed us myself.

Thankfully, as my status says, 'persistence overcomes resistance' and I won the battle in the end.............

I used to valet and detail cars for living for about 5 years including new ones and really enjoyed it but the money was rubbish. The good thing is the skills stay with you which does help when trying to tidy up your own car!

I find it starts raining here shortly after I finish putting all the gear away.

If you want to see some real beading, clay bar and then give the car a couple of coats of the Megs Ultimate wax. When I washed the car initially earlier on the water just fell off the bonnet, I've never seen anything like it!
