    worn out clutch pics

i think its fair to say i got all i could out my clutch. slightly more worn than i expected. but looking at the pics you can see wear it was slipping very badly. the can see the springs are fully out and theres no more adjustment left. the dmf wasnt in bad condition apart from it being burnt out due to the clutch slipping but i guess it could be skimmed

Mine was slipping in fourth with the cruise control on. I was ready for it to go and got it sorted pretty quickly.

thats not worn out, not unless the rivets on the friction plate are exposed and polished up .

That happened on my AWD, in the end it wouldn't even pull it up the driveway at high revs, just nothing there

Changing the clutch over os one thing I've not attempted yet on a car. Reading up on the V70P2, the instructions state you need a spring retainer to hold a spring in place while the clutch is dismantled or it will weaken the psring. Can anyone explain how you did it on your clutch change?
    Thx

only thing that needs to be done is the self adjusting on the presure plate. no special tools needed. if you look at the pics of the presure plate youll see the springs are fully out. on fitting a new clutch these need to be fully compressed and can be done using a screwdriver
