    pfv crank pulleys, any good ?

    The crank pulley on my R looks a bit ropey, being the harmonic balancer type the rubber is badly cracked and very soft. PFV do one for 46 quid but I'm unsure of the quality. Anyone had any experiences with one from PFV ? (or has anyone got a good one they could sell and post to me ?)
    Old Car: 855 T5 in Grey and rust (dead and gone, well, most of it !

    I don`t think PVF would be selling it if it was a bad quality.

    Some of the Scan tech stuff is awful, I had some wishbone bushes from them that didn't last 3 months. It's the rubber stuff that concerns me, everything else from them seems fine.

    the original scantech company went bust in feb 2011.

    we dont deal with the new company starting up again under the same name.

    I havent had any of our crank pulleys returned under warranty that i can remember since being here.

    That's good to know, may give one a try if I can't source one secondhand.

    Bend a valve and stick it in one of the g/box bolt holes and the flat bit between flywheel teeth,does the job.

    mine came off with just an impact driver, didn't lock it at all

    I had to make a tool to lock the flywheel then was jumping up and down on a twelve foot scaffold pole slipped over a breaker bar till finally bang....I bust an extension bar ! Second bouncing session was more successful though !
