    She got the lot today!

Now my shoulder has recovered from doing Graham's car last week, I decided it was time for the Sweed to get a good going over!
I think I used pretty much every chemical, tool and cloth in my arsenal and by 'ek she's come up nice...

1st was a snowfoam session. I used Demonshine Snowfoam Shampoo. £6 from Sainsbury's and it's bloody good!

I did the brother in laws hanging Audi too as it was on the driveway and would have copped a load of soap any way.

I couldn't believe how good the snowfoam is - Foamed, left for 2 minutes, jet wash rinse and repeated. It came up sparkling with no need for sponge work

I left the German barge alone after that and got on with the sweed.

    Work in progress...

So, washed, clayed, washed again, cutting compound on the bonnet, parts of the doors and the rear lights. body polished, sealed and waxed, Black trims and skirts treated, alloys waxed, tyres treated, windows cleaned, engine plastics treated and I managed to paint some more engine components too.

    Now for the pics

    Best she's ever looked

Looking great. Have just spent a day or so on the outside of mine.
Shampoo, tar remover, clay bar, clay bar, polish, polish, high gloss coat, plastics.
Was thinking of taking some pics and posting them...
But I didn't get close to cleaning the engine bay let alone PAINTING stuff under there. You have shamed me.

What do you use on your black trims? I haven't found anything I'm happy with so far.

Looking smart Martin. I leave my engine bay dirty for fear of §§§§§§ing up a component, my car has enough problems as it is.

You have been busy, good to see you concentrating on your own car. I must say it's time very very well spent. That car shames most cars on the road with half the mileage of yours and that's without lifting the bonnet

Well, to start with, I was using cheap boot polish, brushed on with a nail brush and buffed. Now, I use the megs endurance tyre gel on my tyres, applied with a sponge, I then use that sponge to do the trims

I use Car Plan Black Trim Wax and it's good enough. I don't like silicone dressings on exterior trim because they run off and leave a greasy mess down the paint when it rains. Black trim wax is a wax that goes on and then you buff to a natural sheen.

Before I started working in my current line or work, I used to be a vehicle valeter for 5 years cleaning new and used cars. Silicone dressings were used as a last resort only!
