    getting my buff on!!

well it starts tommorrow, ive brought all my gear home from work so over the weekend in between fitting my boost gauge and MBC im gonna give it a full hit.

the plan was to drag it in to work and give it a full show car quality repaint, colour sand and buff out before summer but between seeing all you shiny car pic's and wanting more power ill leave the paint work until autum i think.

    so full wash
    claybar
    3m fast cut
    megs ultimate compound
    megs ultimate polish
    megs gold class plus wax

all going to be applyed using my rotery apart from the wax, ill try to get some good pic's up of before, inbetween and after.

ive got a couple mate, the one ive brought home is a dodo juice spin docter and ive got a 3M one aswell for heavyer stuff. i tend to use the 3M at work for compounding the paint jobs after colour sanding dirt nibs ect... and the dodo juice for lighter polishing and home use.

no mate im a painter, but deep shiny paint and my real love of hot rods and customs got me in to it.
thats the reason i want to paint it because ill be able to sand all of the flow marks out of the clear coat and get it flat as hell and like glass. its a bit of an obbsession to be honest

You'd probably be able to teach me a thing or two. I am not a novice, but I would appreciate some tips? Perhaps we could meet for a session?

Took me 4 days last time I DA'd a V70 P1. With a 2 rotaries - & 2 peeps perhaps 1 day. But with all of these things finding the time is the major issue.

I did a rover for HLM in 2 days - again with the porter cable DA.

I do have an awning which I can bring with me plus all the tools for snow foam etc.

Given enough time I can do mile deep paint

Snow foam is ace. Almost a waste of time on none prepped surfaces however once you've polished it to death, keeping the swirls to a minimum - i thoroughly recommend it - plus it looks wicked.
