Another detailing session with Graham... PIC HEAVY!

Had the afternoon off today so me and Graham could have a go at getting his car looking nice for the Swedish day next week. It was a bloody warm sunny day and I now have a head like a raddish!

Any way, we did a pretty spanking job... here's some pics...

Eventually, Mrs. M-R-P showed up and we managed to throw a wet sponge over the sweed too.
Here's some pics of both cars...

Anybody else think this should be Graham's new sig pic?

Had a blast of a day, got very red though.....first sunburn of the year !

Thanks to Martin (again) for helping with the 'Big Clean' we also managed a few other jobs including tidying up the engine bay, swapping the wheel caps for Silver ones (at last) and cleaning the interior mats, you should have seen the dirt that came off them.....now for the pics

    Looking lovely and shiny

So what was the cleaning routine/products used?

Did mine the other day and wasn't pleased with the results (too many scratches )
1996 Olive Green 850 AWD - Follow the Project - Forged rods, 19T, big blue injectors, 960 TB, 3.25" MAF, Ostrich, 608 binary, arduino data display, active exhaust control with Focus RS tips, 320mm front brake conversion.
1996 Nautic Blue 850 AWD - Failed its MOT, now it's a donor for the green thing.
2004 Sapphire Black S60 D5 - The new daily hack.

Wash, clay, wash again. Zymol cleaner wax, Autoglym gold sealer and Turtlewax Hard shell. Worth dye was used on some of the plastics and Megs tyre gel on window rubbers and some of the hoses in the engine bay. Used Demon shine pour n shine, in a spray bottle to do the wheels. Graham had some trim black stuff to do the engine plastics.

LOL, yeah. The dirt just hides all the scratches, and the big problem is the car was sat under some trees/by bushes for 18 months so the roof is a state with really ingrained crap that has gone too deep I fear. And the wheels are in a state (next job on the list, just got to decide which colour)
