    strange fault with the car.

So the lambda light has been on for a couple weeks. I had a new exhaust fitted with a decat downpipe that had a lambda alreday in it. Hoping that it would correct itself there after.

Sometimes, b4 the exhaust was done when going over bumps. The light would flash on and off. When doing this the car would feel like is was going to stall. Sometimes it would. And would also jerk quite violently. It was getting to a point where it was undriveable.

The other day I thought let me check the fault codes. It flashed up something to do with egr system and a speedo sensor fault. As well as knock control at limit.

So on the way home it did it again today quite badly. But this time before it stalled There was an almighty bang from the exhaust as it back fired. Started up fine again but the lambda light was gone. It flashed and jerked a few times on way the but nothing as bad.

I was thinking to read the codes again so I could come to you guys for ideas. But guess wat it flashed 1-1-1. No fault found. Checked it again and 1-1-1.

    Quite frustrating. Any ideas.

Hello mate. We will speak tomorrow. I have disconnected the battery this evening. Might help to reset things.

How many sensors are on the engine. And how many are of them are easy for a novice like me to change

I do not understand what has happened. The problem seems to have fixed itself. The drove very well today. And the boost has returned to what it was.

I think it was the lambda sensor. It was included in downpipe that I bought. It must have taken a few miles to bed in.

Gotta love it when that happens
