    Thats what I said.
Pay your 20 quid at Volvo, get it on ViDA and away you go. You have already wasted a week of your time. I know most of us don't like spending money when we think we don't have to but you are getting nowhere at the moment.

There you go then. Go buy a new MAF and stick it on. Clear codes and enjoy.

I'm still out of work because of my recent operation so can't afford a new one atm, especially at volvo's prices lol. It does need sorting asap as the fuel consumption is shocking.

AndyB has a good used one from an 02 car at a very good price but sod's law it's the wrong part number.

The part number on my maf housing is 0 280 218 089

Could someone with an 05> 2.4 t5 confirm that is the correct part number please?

    Many thanks

If you look at the engine, on the right hand side of the sensor directly behind the airfilter. Should say Bosch and then a 10 digit number.
    Is yours 2005 or newer?

    Many thanks.

Cheers Graeme, if I don't get sorted I'll remind you on

That is the correct number. But that is for the whole lump. MAF sensor and the housing. You can just buy the sensor and use your old housing and save yourself £100
