I've always found the Megs kit to be very good, especially for people without experience like me, it's a very mild clay so you'd be doing something very wrong to damage your paint work, I have however just recently purchased some Dodo Juice medium grade clay which I will be using when mine is done, it's got good reviews and being a medium grade clay it will take more contaminants off the paintwork but I stand a greater risk of maring the paintwork if I'm not sensible with the quick detailer...

yep plenty of quick detailer, and just let it glide over the paint you shouldnt need to press on.

I just do half a panel at a time all by hand with the lime juice, I tested it on the roof to see how it applied and went on from there - if you leave it on to long then its hard to clean off, but the results are superb - Im totally sold on it - I'll find some time this week to do a side by side comparison.

lime prime is a pre-wax cleanser? AFAIK it is for use just before putting on LSPs? Claybar is at the other end of the process.

To reduce claying effort use TARDIS.

Lol dont they advise you to try it on an inconspicuous part of your car!.....
So you figured the roof seems like a good test patch!
