    Tyre rating query

All tyres carry a rating stickers now and just wondering as they are marked alphabetically how much is the difference say on fuel rating and wet grip between A and B.I have 215/40 Avon ZZ3`s all around and and need 2 tyres.Avons are great in wet and dry but fuel rating is G and wet grip is B so was thinking if I go for a C and C rating how much difference would it make.It all comes in the wrong time tbh.

After chatting with a few tyre places, they recon the rating is too vague to be relevant. My old barum tyres are supposed to be as good as my avons but believe me, the avons are far superior.

Best advice I can give you mate - ditch the ZZ3 and get ZV5. Much better tyre for our cars.

Wat you find is that if its an sports tyre the fuel efficiency is crap. And wet grip is high. If is a new eco tyre the fuel efficiency is high and wet grip is good. As a person who works with tyres my opinion is that by a tyre that suits your purpose as they will transform the car. If want milage from fuel and tyres by eco tyres. If you want to stick to the roas when ur booting it get something decent. If your broke get the cheapest ditch finder you can find.
I don't break gearboxes. Just engine mounts.............
