    possibly buying an xc90.... what to look for???

    Goin with a friend to look at an xc90 can anyone shed a bit of light on what to look for please......

    Expect the same sort of trouble you would from any P2 really - Pre 2004 models will most likely have electrical gremlins, AWD issues (same angle gear problems as the R cars) Auto/triptronic gearboxes are usually toast by 100k miles if they haven't been looked after.

    What year is it?
    19t, greens, 3" inlet, 3" downpipe with race cat, V70R catback, autotech map...

    As M-R-P has said, on the earlier ones it's the same auto box as the 2.8 s80, you can find page after page of them going pop. Really depends on what year your going for.

    don`t for get to look at the underside or it well some people treat them rough and few farmer have them and don`t care what they drive through or over
