    Project Grill ?

Well, I was bored and after i seen a 240 yesterday with some self made fron modifications, sorry no camera fast enough to hand,
    - it looks mean as he modified the grill, front bumper, lights etc -
I tryd to make my own grill up.
I am not sure if I paint it or just leave it in this plain metal colour.
Also I am not sure if the engine get enough cooling with it or may make some more holes
    In it.
I have to try tomorrow and see how hot it gets under the hoot.
The air filter cone should get enough cooling as I cut the bonnet under the scoop tomorrow for
    Extra cold air .Name: image.jpg

That's what I need to check out tomorrow.
If so I always can drill holes additional to increase airflow.
Looking the original v70 grill there is may just a 10% more cover against airflow.
The mesh leaves loads mor into it but is nothing speciall anymore.
I'll try having some new and different. Cost factor was 0£ so no loss.

    Well, playing again.
    New design and material.
Carbon fibre wrapt, same as mirrors and door handles.
Last one left enough air through without problem but this is even bett.
And I guess looks better to the black car.

Sorry, I think it looks absolutely awful, I'm the first to try and be different, but even I have my limits.

10 outta 10 for effort and creative thoughts but style just dont sit right plus loads of small holes wont be enough cooling or venting in my view

That's why I post it to get other opinions.
Just trying to give it some new style, mesh grills are common and the standard grill is nothing I liked.

I will keep looking to find something else to try.
Apparently trying with a fan, it gives actually nearly the same cooling as the standard grill.

I have from work on of them wind/storm mph gauges and tried how much air is going through, and it shows as following

Giving the standard grill 100 %
Mesh race gives and increase of 27 %
My first option gave minus 10 %
The current option is giving minus 7 %

Still looking for other materiel. Lol

How's about cutting slots in the new style?
    To increase airflow?
Thinking of 3mm cuts left to right instead up and down as standard grills have.
    Distance between the slots 100mm.
This would make a 100 % airflow compare the standard v70 volvo grill but still looks different.

    Just an idea?

Make it look different again to how it looks now.

Or even the writing v70 ( if I can on this material ) thick and fat and cover the opening with race mesh?
