I've had some of my engine covers done like this and I think it gives a good look whilst maintaining a good resistance to the engine bay environment and staying realistic cost wise...

I'm very interested to see the results Colin, hopefully it will look as good as the other items we have seen. You could have started something now lol

I got mates rates as a friend did them for me but the work I've had done would have been £150.00, pictures are on my resurrection thread under the projects section.

I was thinking the same, if I was to do it I would go to b and q and get one of those big storage boxes and do it out in the garage. No danger would I do something like that in my house, it takes the mick what some people do doesn't it?
    Thanks

It's the principal of it, tony is rite to an extend, if I said it was the wife's domain I would get battered haha. Houses aren't ment for stuff like that, that's why god gave us men garages and sheds lol, next you will be spray painting your bonnet in your kitchen
My mum doesn't let you use the bathroom for a day after its been cleaned, I used to get told to use the other one, women are weird like that
    Thanks

I do most of the cleaning anyway lol she does the cooking and washing. I did consider putting my boost pod in the cooker to let the paint set lol but didn't want all my food to taste like paint for days after.

I will pass on your words of wisdom! But some things are just not worth the grief! And it would cost twice as much as if i was to get it done proffesionally it looks quite touchy feely and i dont have the patience.

Btw I actually like the look of this carbon fibre dipping, I hope it gives good results. I like what andy has done to his engine bay plastics and usually that's not my thing but its certainly got my thinking about the saffy bay.
    Thanks
    Martyn
