    Strip or not?

Thinking about some weight loss for the R...
Trouble is I'll be losing some of the stuff that makes it an R, but it can be put back.

had been toying with doing the same and decided if I went this route I'd buy another old 854 or 855 ( which ever was lightest ) and then strip that till it was as light as I could go

Just remove the seats you don't need, that's at least a 100Kg saving if you just leave the drivers seat. Have a poo before you get in, that'll save a few Lb too

I stripped out my T5R, but just took out everything from the boot, and all the spare seats! The passenger seat and the rear bench weigh a bloomin ton! I did, however, keep them all in the garage for after my trackday where I put everything back in!

Which is why it's not as creaky, and is alot stiffer.
