    from the beginning.....

Just thought that i would run through the list of Mods/Upgrades that have taken place over the last year or so.

when i got the car it looked like this...

i added the wind deflectors that i had taken off the s40 which had just been traded in...

next extras were a fire extinguisher and the volvo bag, all from the ebay for not much pennies.

A good washing and paint cleaning/polishing to get rid of tar spots and iron filliments etc, used loads of stuff like Iron-x, Tardis etc, it was in bad need of the cleaning!

Results were good and she was back looking like new...

    dirty engine bay...

    shiney engine bay...

the brakes got a quick lick of calliper paint to help them stand out a bit

and the first of many moose to grace the wing...

De-badge the rear to help it look that bit cleaner, kept the T5 though...

went for some nice pics at a local harbour spot.

then the next mod came, i was wanting to get the B12 shocks and springs but no-where could supply them, luckily one of the dealers i phoned made an offer of the B14 Coilovers for the same price as the B12's, not much thinking required there so they were bought and stuck on ....

after the coilovers went on the rear wheels had a bit too much of an angle to them so I went and bought the adjustable cambers and a new anti-roll bar from Elevate,

they went on and really firmed things up in the bends,

gave the arches a bit of a clean and treat with Dynax,

Next was a big one, after much searching it was decide on some more mods, a K&N Typhoon intake system which i fitted myself,

the stainless header tank and other bits cam later but i cant find a photo of the intake without them in it!

now for the big bit....After many phone calls and emails and much searching i found Shark Performance who were making moves into the volvo tuning scene and had all the bits i was looking for.

    1. Remap
    2. Exhaust system (turbo back)
    3. poly bush all round

the car was dropped off with the guys at Shark (who came all the way through to Manchester to pick it up) and fitted it out with a full Milltek 3" down pipe, Sports cat (200 cell) 3" all the way through and new box and tips at the rear.

the poly bushes firmed the whole car up nicely and the remap was fantastic, very smooth and progressive. Very drivable at all speeds but with that added Ooomph when needed.

new wheels were next up, I eventually settled on the OZ super T's, they look good on any car!

as the Eagle eyed amongst you will notice the silver moose has gone and been changed to a dome type in the blue and yellow flag style.

the blue and yellow didn't last long though and was switched to the red and carbon which ties in with the wheels much better.

next up was the inlet manifold from Elevate, easy enough to fit but some of the bolts are a PITA to get to, many burst knuckles and scrapes later....

after that it was another trip to Shark who had managed to get an Intercooler developed with Pace and another Remap for the car to match it up.

not got any pics of the cooler in place as you can't see it much through the front grille and bumper.

the intercooler and the remap saw great results and gave out the final figure of 310BHP

All that power was taking its toll on the brakes which were starting to struggle so i found some new stoppers from PB Brakes...

And that is about all that has been done couple of bits planned for the future and if i have missed anything i will add it in later...

You & Lance need to compare notes. Don't like the OZ wheels but the rest looks really good.

Looks really nice, I like the modificatons you've done. Must confess not 100% on the wheel choice but that's not to say they're a bad choice. It's clear that no expense has been spared and that's a good thing as it shows!

OK, so after trying my best to come to terms with the vibra-technics torque mount i must confess that it was just too harsh for everyday use. so it has now been removed and i have slumped back to the standard oem one.

the mount would be great for track users but everyday the little vibration running through the wheel is just that bit too uncomfortable.

on the plus side if anyone wants it then let me know and it will fly through the post to you (for a reasonable fee of course!!)

now i just need to get to the bottom of a rather annoying knocking noise, think a trip to the local indy to strip out the suspension and rebuild it is on the cards.
