Drawing a bit of a blank so far. Don't want to go with the local auto guy who ash never done the angle gear of rear diff before. Phoned P&R in Leeds who wouldn't touch it and even warned me off faffing with the transmission at all for fear of "stirring up a hornet's nest". I know they are no fans of modding so no surprise they didn't think much of the remap plans...
...but has anyone ever heard of running into problems by just servicing the transmission?

I know this is a very old thread but I have read it in interest. To answer Squirty dogs Q, the answer, I think, is No. Routine servicing of the transmission will not harm it. If P&R in Leeds wouldn't touch it, then it's for one of two reasons. Either, they don't know how or two, they didn't want too. What on earth are they on about..."stirring up a hornets nest!", LOL.

Anyway, What I wanna know is, despite routine servicing of the Transmission, Angle gear, rear diff etc....has anyone actually changed the AOC Haldex filter?
Reason I ask is, whats the point in changing the Haldex oil if your not going to change the filter!!

Its next on my list of 'things to do' after I have replaced my PCV system.

We have the angle gearbox checked every service, and have had it resealed twice since we've owned the car.

apparently its on the AOC unit. You have to remove the prop to access I believe.

The haldex oil does get very dirty, the wet clutch plates wear and the oil / filter picks up the bits.

    The oil filter kit.

    The haldex.

Think the filter can be changed without removing the drive shaft,I will find out soon..

Is this an actual picture of your HALDEX Harvey? Looks like you have replaced the filter recently if so?

No I have not changed it yet.the photo is a volvo awd car,the filter can be changed me thinks without removing the propshaft but the shaft needs to be removed if the pump is to be removed I think ( but not 100% sure ).

What ever you do don't put Redline gearbox oil in you Haldex that would be a very costly mistake.

You only need one tube Haldex I think ?. They say you need 0.65 L.
