    Bloody Fuel Filters

Bought a new fuel filter for the V70, so whilst the weather was dry today I decided to change it.

Took the old one off, managed to catch most of the petrol that came out, tried to fit the new one but the bloody inlet and outlet pipes had flanges on which didn't allow the fuel pipe quick connectors to slide all the way home which meant they leaked when the system was pressurised.

So now I got to make sure I get a filter without the flanges on.

The day wasn't totally wasted though, fitted a new thermostat as the coolant temperature was fluctuating and managed to take my injectors off and stick them in the ultrasonic cleaner, hopefully this will solve the bad mpg problem I've been having.

i hate those quick release fittings, think i've cut most of them off & use a jubilee clip to hold the pipes
