there is but dont know if you fancy it?? pedro has props for this...........you can drill holes in the selector arm (the upright one) and this shortens the left to right travel on the gearstick, ideally you should do this when fitting a short shift plate, but asked for a freebie and i gave you one lol
full respray..plenty of body mods..comets..ray cat back noise pipe..decat and wrapped downpipe..me7 exhaust manifold..3" throttle body with ported inlet manifold..blue injectors..adjustable fuel reg..reverse intercooler pipework..19t..open cone air filter..255 fuel pump..m-r-p short shift..boost gauge..unknown remap..adjustable suspension..lightweight crank pulley..n/a cams..stripped out interior..and a heavy right foot
ohhhh ow theres a thought, if i could get hold of my dads drill.
i keep toying with the idea of shortening to wastegate rod by a turn or two, not sure though
If you still have a standard airbox drill some holes in the lower section for a bit more noise to appreciate

You could tighten up the actuator, but don't go over the top if you don't have a boost gauge.
also, if its loose then its probably time for a new one.

thing s i tryed it a week or so ago and the 10mm ut is very seized and starting to round off so im just tryig to think of a way to undo it or more like find a tool which i can fit down there hahah.
the air box idea, i forgot all about that i did it to my vr6 passat and ohhhh the sweetttt noise it made
Over inflate the tyres.............handling will suck but it should reduce rolling friction.

Get some wd40 on the actuator rod and a wire brush and turn the bitch up

got it undone, it seemed a little tight when trying to make it sit over the wastegate rod, so i loosened it until it slipped over nicley, then wound it in 2 full turns.
so it looks like someone has already been there and had a go hahah.
so is my thought right, standard it should slip on and off the wastegate rod without catching, so 2 full turns from there?
cheers
