Very nice, really like the front end - not sure if the stainless grill would ruin it tbh?

I'm hearing you there Martin (I do have my concerns too).....I keep on trying to think of some way of making the oem grille work on this car as I think the chrome (no offense) looks a bit grandad for a mean machine......so thought I'd try something else. I don't like painting grills for obvious reasons, but also don't like 'halfords style' hence why I add the big oem lorry badge to make up for the mesh grille. I've got the usual C70 egg crate grill but find the plastic a bit too grey...and still has the chrome surround which I'm trying to stay clear of.

I'm always up for making custom grills, but trying to make them look oem some how. It took a fair amount of work to get that grille to have the stainless look, but cost nothing so I can only but try. If it does work well I might even buy a new one and bead blast it to give a totally uniform satin finish.....possibly with another lorry badge which I can dremel tool cut into the grille spokes for a oem look. I might put up a thread on custom grilles....got loads of ideas! I could even look into making a complete grill using SLA to produce ABS parts, would just have to model it on Solidworks...but could do honeycomb or anything

WHY DOESN'T MY SIGNATURE WORK??? ...IT DOES NOW! :-)

I've just got a dremmel and some bits, and I've been toying with doing something new with my grille.

Carbon wrap and some patchwork... hmmm.

I got my first Dremel about 16yrs ago.....couldn't do without it! Sounds like we'll have to get a custom grille thread going then.....let's see who can design & make a new version to put fwd to the mfgs....so they can stop making those horrid badgeless egg crate cr*p things!

Can almost see the 'Homer spice rack' attempts from people with, let's say, little artistic license....being PC!!

Do it....I've got 3 scrap yards saving any 850 or s/v/c70 etc grills which don't get bought before cars are crushed

I'd really like to know a contact for plating ABS though.....then you could get the darn things coated in a multitude of finishes!!
