Reference to my previous thread regarding a lumpy tickover when cold, the recent spate of cold weather has made matters worse, the displayed temprature seems to be critical, if it's 3deg or less it overfuels massivly, the exhaust emissions stink of petrol and it chucks out loads of unburned gas and really "chugs" on tickover, once moving the ecomomy gauge displays around 1.9 MPG. This lasts for around 5 mins then it's fine again. If the displayed tempreture is higher than 3deg it runs perfectly. Any ideas would be appreciated. I have no dash lights on and it's just been into the garage for a full diagnostic, other than the key reader, everything else checked out fine. Maybe worth mentioning the tempreture guage was a bit uppy / downy, I've since fitted a new (genuine) thermostat and it now sits consistently at 3 'o'clock once warm, however this has had no effect on the very cold running.
