    854 t5 tyre sizes

Just got the car and it has boggo alloys on with 205 50 16 tyres.
Has anyone run either 205 55 16 without clearance problems? Also thinking of going to 215 45 16 for a better footprint, anyone run this size?
While I'm asking, as I want to to be a sleeper, what brake upgrades can I fit that will still go under the standard alloys?

Thanks guys, my first 850 and I'm learning.

Wayne, the 302 upgrade is quite a common one, carriers seem to come up for sale now and then, wish I recovered them from my c70 before i let it go :-(

Not on the 850s wheels no, but they fit on the 16" perfo's from the s/v70s

The answer to your tyre sizes is yes both will fit providing your not planning on lowering the car. Lowered the 50's definitely fit, infact come to think of it im sure 55's do to as my S70 was lowered on 55's initially.

No 302mm brakes categorically DO NOT fit under the standard 850 wheels. They will however go under the 70 series equivalent wheels which look almost identical.

as far as I know the 16inch Columba's will fit over a 302 brake setup, but the perfo's won't, so it will depend on what boggo wheels Wayne has on his 850. I'm sure someone who knows far more than me will be along soon to point you in the right direction

Thanks guys, thought I remembered that 302's didn't fit under Perfos

Does this mean a wheel upgrade??? Before you know it it'll be an R front bumper, rear spoiler etc etc and the sleeper mode will be history lol.

Nope. Resist the dark side, spend on performance not aesthetics.

Off topic but I once saw a sticker about Volvo's and Werthers originals, anyone seen this or have a link?

I thought the columba's were the 850 wheels and the perfo's were the s/v70 wheels?

Lets be clear then, the 302's WON'T fit on the 16", 850 columba's. But they WILL fit on the 16", s/v70 perfo's.

Oh cr*p, guess which ones I bought, they were sold as v70 ones and by your pictures are clearly 850 ones, never really noticed the difference until now, no wonder no one else bid on them, good job I found out now, as I could be a bit embarrassing trying to bolt on me scrub tyres at avon next week to find they won't go over the brakes and good job a back up plan is already in progress....
